Dr Tony Caccetta is a Specialist Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
He graduated with honours from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2005. After successful selection in the highly competitive Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) national dermatology training program, he completed his specialist training and examinations to be awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) in 2012.
Dr Caccetta is a procedural dermatologist who has worked as a specialist in public and private practice since 2013.
He is highly skilled in the diagnosis of skin cancer and melanoma and specialises in surgical and non-surgical treatment of cancer. He is experienced in the removal and reconstruction of skin cancer, performing over 600 surgical cases per year. He served on the panel of the Western Australia Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service (WAKMAS) Panel 2018-2021 and delivered the inaugural Australian College of Dermatologists (ACD) Practical Dermoscopy course in Western Australia in 2017. He holds a special interest in augmented diagnosis using artificial intelligence.
Dr Caccetta is highly experienced in the treatment of excessive sweating with sweat stopping botulinum injections. He has performed over 1200 treatments for excessive underarm sweating (localised idiopathic axillary hyperhidrosis) and also manages craniofacial and palmoplantar hyperhidrosis.
Dr Caccetta performs vascular laser treatment for suitable subtypes of rosacea, using the gold standard Candela V Beam Perfecta. He is a provider of phototherapy and biologic treatments for patients with moderate to severe psoriasis or atopic dermatitis. He also manages acne with a variety of effective treatment options, including oral isotretinoin.
Dr Caccetta provides a rural dermatology service to the Wheatbelt as a visiting and telehealth specialist to Merredin, Northam and Narrogin Hospitals.
Dr Caccetta is the Medical Director of Perth Dermatology and past Chairman of the WA Faculty of Dermatology. He has previously worked in the public sector as a Consultant Dermatologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital 2013-2018. He also serves on various boards and committees in the healthcare sector and is a Western Australian 40under40 award recipient.
